Over the last few weeks we have seen spy photos of the new 5 Series and rumours of the M5 drivetrain, but finally we have an official press release from BMW confirming essential information and photos. BMW go to battle with Mercedes, Audi, Jaguar and Maserati (Ghibli) for their share of the market in what is invariably their key segment: executive saloon. Certain themes continue such as the downsizing of engines, as the new 530i will be powered by a two litre, four-cylinder engine. Other features, which should impress, include the optional xDrive on top selling 520d and wireless Apple CarPlay capability. Future models to join the lineup include the 530e iPerformance and M550i xDrive models, with the M550i powering from nought to sixty quicker than the present day F10 M5.Hollybrook Sports Cars Dealer Visit.
